Caleisha Ryan

Caleisha Ryan is a crocheter, knitter, designer and podcaster who describes herself as a 'constant collector of hobbies and skills'. Based in Florida, USA she loves learning new things and sharing them with others.

She was taught to crochet by her mother aged 7 but turned to YouTube when she wanted to learn to knit just 4 years ago. It's now her craft of choice and in 2018 she began creating crochet and knit designs finding she was able to lovingly tell stories through the use of yarn and stitches.

Around 10 years ago she became interested in craft centred digital spaces but as a woman of colour didn't see herself represented despite knowing there must be others crafting who looked just like her. It was wanting to do her part to ensure future generations would find themselves represented in whatever creative sphere they chose that became a main motivator for her continued sharing across multiple online platforms.

She hosts the Quirky Monday Podcast on YouTube, sells hand made project bags through Etsy and her self published patterns are available through her pattern store on Ravelry.
