Chinua Matthews

Chinua “Chin” Matthews is a Black queer knitter and designer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He makes designs that are versatile and easily integrated into any wardrobe. He has a passion for making knitting accessible and helping to teach about the environmental benefits of slow fashion. 

In addition to his knitwear design, Chin has also combined his passion for knitting and instructing and runs classes for students looking to improve their knitting skills. His approach to teaching focuses on helping students to understand why the subjects he teaches are the way they are instead of rote memorisation.
