Destiny Itano

Destiny Itano is multiracial Asian American knitwear designer and knitting teacher, who is also owner/operator of Seattle Yarn, in Seattle, Washington, USA. Her designs reflect her love of texture, color, and story while her shop reflects her love of community and inclusivity.

Destiny designs the way she likes to knit - sometimes for ease and comfort, sometimes for the challenge of something new and this means she creates designs for all different types of knitters. She prides herself on creating clear and precise patterns and is happy to know that many knitters have used her designs as their first attempt at a technique.

She loves teaching, empowering people to make what will bring them joy and satisfaction, and connecting people with their undercurrent of creativity and skill.

Seattle Yarn carries a wide variety of yarn, fibre, tools and books for knitters, crocheters, spinners and weavers. It is also committed to maintaining a community that is safe, inclusive, and welcoming.
