Diane Ugo

Diane Ugo has been knitting and crocheting consistently for about 10 years and, when she started designing just 2 years later, took to it instantly.

She has a preference for patterns that aren't overly complicated and likes designing items that have an interesting element either in their construction or stitch pattern and whilst she's focused on accessories up to now, she's hoping to move onto garments in the future. In addition to designing patterns as Mrs U Makes, she also designs and makes stitch markers; something that grew out of her pre-knitting jewellery making.

'I can't remember what prompted me, but I came to the realisation that I could use the stones and findings I had to make stitch markers, this led me into a polymer clay rabbit hole. Crafting is such an important part of my life and I feel privileged to be able to do what I do.'
