Elaine Tom

Elaine Tom is the small-batch indie dyer behind the Nabi Wool Studio based in Zurich, Switzerland.

She dyes a variety of natural fibre bases ranging from laceweight and fingering up to worsted and aran weights, with each colourway determined by Elaine’s intuitive approach to her process.

“I start with an idea and the yarn leads me to create the end piece. I might start with one colour in mind. Then I see what I feel needs to change or be added as I go, so most of the colours are one of a kind.

I create colours that I want to knit and wear, and hope all of you love them too.”
