Lorna Hamilton-Brown
Lorna Hamilton-Brown describes herself as a knitting evangelist.
As an artist she is highly and multi skilled using her roles as researcher, educator, knitwear designer, crocheter, performer and filmmaker to make social comment. Producing work that is always issue based she strives to make work that's accessible to people outside of the gallery context. And, in subverting people's traditional associations with knitting she engages audiences, challenging them to address difficult issues such as domestic violence and mental health.
In addition to being part of the BIPOC in Fiber team Lorna designed the logo for BIPOC in Fiber and is a member of the Vogue Knitting's Diversity Advisory Council.
