Mieka John

Mieka John is a knitwear designer and teacher whose passion beyond fibre is connecting with people and helping them on their path of creativity and growth. Originally from New York, she now lives in Amsterdam spending her days uncovering her creativity and biking to the next appointment with a basket full of WIPs.

Mieka loves diving into new techniques and uses them to develop new designs or classes such as steeking, thrumming and intarsia. She teaches at a number of global fibre events and outside of the classroom she can usually be found singing and dancing, wearing headphones and with a sweater-in-progress on her needles. She regularly posts about her creative process on Instagram and sells self published designs through her Pattern Store on Ravelry.
