Milli Abrams

London born Milli Abrams is the owner of Tribe; a bricks and mortar yarn shop in Richmond upon Thames, London.

Taught to knit by her Mum as a child she spent 14 years heading up the Finance team for a global entrepreneur before returning home to open Tribe in 2018. She fulfilled her long held ambition by setting up the yarn shop in her dream location, the aim being to create a welcoming, informative, fun space for customers to browse and buy, whether in person or online.

Milli feels her mission is to get the world making'; to create, not consume. And, as a self-confessed yarn snob who believes 'life is just too short for knitting with crap yarn' she takes extra special care when selecting fibres and materials. She's turned on by brilliant colours, natural fibres with all their natural intelligence and the stories from the yarn producers themselves.
