Jeanette is a Black British knitwear designer who created the POC Designers & Crafters List after writing about the lack of diversity in the fibre arts in her articles ‘Black People Do Knit’ and ‘A Colourful Debate’.The positive response to the POC list (the first of its kind) led her to set up BIPOC in Fiber.
Away from BiF Jeanette is a tutor, speaker, author of books on handknitting, regular contributor to Laine magazine and runs her own business www.jeanettesloandesign.com.

American-born Alyson takes care of all things tech-related at BIPOC in Fiber being responsible for Web Development and day-to-day maintenance of the website.
